Matching my bandage to my bikini ? Sorry to be soppy but it’s time for some @healthychefsteph appreciation ? I can’t imagine how horrible it was for @healthychefsteph watching me suffer, be rushed between hospitals and then get emergency surgery. She stayed strong and always provided me the reassurance I needed. Even in the moments I was so overwhelmed with pain I couldn’t speak, she would stroke my arm and tell me it would pass ?? She tried to not cry in front of me, to give me confidence; but I remember when I woke up from a nap one night and found her in tears by my bedside. It really hit me how the whole experience must be have been affecting her ? No task was too much for her, she fed me, walked me to the toilet, massaged my calves, blow dried my hair and held my hand as yet another needle was put in my arm ? She enthusiastically celebrated my first ? and made me laugh so often I thought I was going to burst my stitches ? Experiences like this can make or break a friendship and it’s safe to say it made ours stronger than ever ?? We got given a mountain, and we moved it together ?
