This is a reminder that is perfectly ok to wear the same outfit over and over and over again ? Today I received a message thanking me for wearing the same outfits in my posts, which struck me as interesting. I have always had a “wear until it falls apart” principle when it comes to clothing; which has been instilled in me since a young age ?? Nowadays (as someone who was previously a high street shopping addict) I am trying to minimise my slightly bulging wardrobe, focus on key items, buy less, buy wisely and wear items on repeat ? This is motivated by the fact fashion is one of the most polluting industries on the planet ? To give you some context, it takes 2,700 litres of water to produce a single pair of jeans (enough water for you to drink for 2.5 years) & we produce 80 billion new pieces of clothing a year ? So hell yes, I’m gonna wear the same items over and over again. That’s how clothes should be worn. Instagram makes it seem normal to have a new outfit for every occasion but here’s a reminder that it’s not ??♀️ Before you hit the shops, I encourage you to dig through your wardrobe and see what hidden gems you can find ?
