A busy and productive first day in Paris yesterday. Had separate meetings with President @emmanuelmacron and PM @edouardphilippepm to review our partnership with France in defence, security, trade, culture, research, and education. We also reaffirmed our commitment to the open trading system, multilateralism, and rule of law.

Also happy to launch the France-Singapore Road Map for Deepening Cooperation in Digital Innovation, Internet Governance, and Cybersecurity together with President Macron. He has accepted my invitation to visit Singapore and deliver the keynote speech at the next Shangri-La Dialogue.

President Macron hosted me and my delegation to a late dinner at the end of the day. Before that, on a jalan jalan along the Seine, we bumped into a Singaporean couple, Min Yuan and Gwendolyn.
