Yesterday was SAF Day. It is when we celebrate the men and women who serve in the Singapore Armed Forces, and thank them for keeping Singapore safe.

The SAF began in uncertain times, as a small regular force tasked with defending a fledgling nation. From those small beginnings, it has grown into a capable and credible force, adept in many security roles beyond conventional defence!
The SAF has participated in many humanitarian and peacekeeping operations. Most recently, it mounted a major tri-service operation to secure the DPRK-USA Summit. It could not have done any of this without the men and women of the SAF carrying out their duties with pride every day.

For those of you taking part in SAF Day Combined Rededication Ceremonies today, thank you for your service! – LHL
