Happy to join @masagosz, @dramykhor, Maliki Osman, and congregants at an iftar (break fast) at @masjidmaarof last night.

The mosque has a long and interesting history. Built in 1870, it was originally located at the Kampung Jawa district (now Arab Street) and served Javanese residents. The current Maarof Mosque was completed in 2016 in Jurong, quite a distance away from where the original stood. The new mosque can accommodate 4,500 congregants. Visitors include not only residents of Jurong Town, but also NTU students and workers from the Tuas area. There are facilities for families with young children, as well as the hearing impaired.
