A good meeting with South Korean President @moonjaein today. He is here on a State Visit, at the invitation of President @halimahyacob.
Singapore and South Korea are good friends. We cooperate on many things. Trade and investments, and also people-to-people links, e.g. tourism. We signed several MOUs to further our cooperation, covering also new areas like technology, environment, as well as SMEs and start-ups.
I’ve visited South Korea often for work, and once on holiday (in December 2015). The country bustled with people and activity despite the winter chill, and I met many Singaporeans, tourists and a few residents!
