#Alabama voters are heading to the polls today to decide between Roy S. Moore, a Republican, and #DougJones, a Democrat. The special Senate election is destined to be remembered as a strange and ugly campaign carrying immense political implications. @judgemooreforsenate’s path to victory in a deeply conservative state has been thrown into doubt over claims of sexual misconduct with teenage girls. Today, he and his wife Kayla voted in Gallant, Alabama. Journalists and camera operators who’d gathered for the event — including the photographer @plusbob — expected him to come riding along the road. Instead, he trotted out of a stand of trees riding Sassy, his Tennessee walking horse. #RoyMoore is a populist, and though not much of a public speaker, he’s blessed with a talent for showmanship. He tied Sassy to a fence and grinned as he made his way up to the polling place. When it was all over, he told a few reporters a little too close to him that they might get run over if they got in his way. Then the Moores rode back off into the woods. #?
