Horror films dominated the cultural conversation in 2017. So @nytmag asked 10 of the year's best actors to perform in a series of exclusive short films. Timothée Chalamet (@ティモシー・シャラメ), pictured here, stars in “The Cannibal.” “There’s an air of Dorian Gray to him,” says @floriasigismondi, who directed the frightening series of films and took this portrait. “He’s polishing the silverware and catching his reflection in the knife, he’s fixing his hair. He’s been haunting the house forever, but there’s a charm and a sweetness, as if he would give you his heart.” @ティモシー・シャラメ also starred this year in Luca Guadagnino’s “Call Me by Your Name” — in which he plays Elio, the film’s teenage protagonist — as well as “Hostiles” and “Lady Bird.” In “Call Me by Your Name,” the 21-year-old actor “seems to match Elio’s exuberance,” writes the @ニューヨーク・タイムズ critic A.O.
