Horror films dominated the cultural conversation in 2017. So @nytmag asked 10 of the year's best actors to perform in a series of short frightening films. Are you feeling brave? Here, @tiffanyhaddish stars in “The Macabre Dancer,” a film produced exclusively for @nytmag. “It’s the idea of a dance with mortality and flirting with that relationship and turning it into something where you’ve got the upper hand,” says @floriasigismondi, who directed this series of films. “There’s a power play with death turned into art.” This year, @tiffanyhaddish also played a much different character, in “Girls Trip.” As @ニューヨーク・タイムズ critic-at-large @wsslyy writes in @nytmag: “Tiffany Haddish is an italics type of actor. She bends every word she speaks toward her. They’re not leaning, though. They’re bowing down.
