Fires continued to burn across #SouthernCalifornia over the weekend. While firefighters have had success getting control over fires in LA and San Diego, the #ThomasFire continues its devastating march along the coast, threatening communities around Santa Barbara. As of this morning, it had burned over 230,000 acres of land and destroyed more than 750 buildings and homes. “We’re about ready to have firefighting at Christmas,” Governor Jerry Brown said during a visit to Ventura. @hlswift has been on #nytassignment documenting the #fires since they started last week. Earlier today, she photographed these firefighters checking on a property on Highway 150 just over the Ventura County border.
