water droplets from the nights rain clung to the hydrangea bushes as I clipped- sending shower onto bare toes in the grass below - we are wrapped in one of summer's hazy grey days - the kind perfect for productivity, at least I always find something motivating and satisfying about this sort of a day - as hours bleed into one another and nothing seems to disturb the quiet - I plopped a few stems simply but lovely in form into a complimentary @farmhousepottery vase and now they keep me company in the kitchen as I glance up now and then over top of the computer screen or recipe notes
