the view out over rockport harbor from the top of the hill. I stood there for a long time watching the movement on the water below - from my vantage point it all appeared in miniature. a set or scene - barely believable as reality. I stood there in the hot August sun just reveling in it all. it was a long time before I raised the camera to make this image
Often as a photographer this is my experience- I see the moving parts come together to make a story and that is the moment I press the shutter - stopping it, freezing it, just as it is forever in that moment. it's taken me a long time to know when that moment is, part gut reaction part practice and its taken me even longer to understand how I see the world. & really I think that will be forever a work in progress - but that's also the thing that keeps me coming back - the ability for forever evolution, to hone and polish
