a new summer recipe for grilled eggplant with sansho & yuzu is up on the blog.
a few weeks ago I paid a visit to the wonderful world that is @curiospice - just back from a sourcing trip in Japan owner Claire handed me one of the tiny shansho pods she had brought back to the shop from a japanese hilltop farm. I was instantly captivated - floral, citrus, delightfully mouth numbing -
the sansho along with yuzu (another divine spice I've recently added to my cooking repertoire) a few dashes of mirin, plum vinegar and other bits make up the base for the new recipe all slathered on sweet tender grilled eggplant - it's the perfect summer dish
