to an evening of idle chatter and fresh country air- currently packing weekend bags and plotting my escape from the city. There is a big weedy garden waiting for me, I know but I'm also eager to see what's grown and ripened this week. I'm hoping for tomatoes but I doubt it with such a rainy week - so perhaps zucchini and lots of green beans - grilled and blanched with olive oil and fresh mint & slices of hard boiled egg -simple fresh ingredients need little adornment, happily. looking g forward to grabbing the basket and clippers from the wall and unlatching that gate in a few hours time
