a restorative cup of tea - hot or cold it's always welcome. Last night I put a pot of clear cold water and lots of cinnamon sticks in the refrigerator and now I'm enjoying a large glass over ice with a splash of almond milk.
A treat on this sunny summer afternoon and very welcome after a day of putting in a new garden at the city cottage with the help of my mum.

gardens are another simple pleasure as far as I'm concerned - I've explored many on my travels always so full of things to look at and ideas to be had - it's exciting creating a new garden from scratch breaking ground for the first time, imagining the possibilities.
Gardening is something akin to yoga in my world two things I'm passionate about - and the lessons on the mat and digging in the dirt are not so very far from each other - both teaching me patience, gratitude, compromise, forgiveness, focus, allowance.
Each a practice in their own right to & bringing with them that same magic that enlivens the spirit and ignites the imagination
