arm loads of peonies seemed fitting to usher in the summer season - wishing you all a happy first day of summer.
back home again and finding the rhythm of things - hands in the dirt first thing this morning was a good place to start and our first crop of the year was ready to be picked today - beautiful sweet breakfast radishes - as much a delight for he eye as the palette - there is something so satisfying in tugging at their green tops and watching the dirt covered pink and white emerge from the ground -
a summer salad on the table tonight with strawberries, radish tops, goats cheese and toasted sunflower seeds - I'm saving the radishes for a little salt and butter and slices of fresh egg
