Everything happens exactly when it's supposed to happen. And not a moment sooner. No matter how much you try you can't rush the process of awakening. What appears as an obstacle is actually a blessing. What seems like a broken heart is really a window to learn an important lesson. What feels like failure is chance to be stronger and do better. Have faith. Everything is happening for a reason. Everything is unfolding at just the right time. You are doing exactly what you need to be doing. You are exactly who you need to be. There will be a time when you look back on this moment and see it in the grand architecture of your life and you will know that it had to happen this way, that it is all perfect. Not just the good, exciting moments of joy and happiness, but also the heartache, the pain, the suffering and the loss, each moment, each experience, each breath, each choice... Every love, every laugh, every smile, every hug, every tear, all the beauty and all the grit, everything is the foundation of your destiny. I've had times when I doubted my purpose, questioned my destiny, wondered if there was space for me in the world. When faced with a series of setbacks I wanted to quit, give up and retreat into a dark corner of my mind. As a yogi I'm not perfect, I'm not living in a mystical land of lotus flowers. I'm just a girl who dreams of a more peaceful life and is willing to work tirelessly for it. Some days I get it right, but some days I also get it wrong. My heart aches, I break down, sometimes I lash out and play the victim, sometimes I question everything like whether what I'm doing is making any difference and whether people really feel the spiritual heart of this practice. And sometimes, in a lucid moment, I see the big picture, like today, when I see how all the pieces are coming together more perfectly than I ever imagined, and I feel the presence of a deep and powerful peace, a knowingness that transcends everything else, and I know, it's all good, so so good.
