Things to avoid: don't bend your elbows, don't hop or jump, don't hit it too hard, don't use too much momentum, don't use your back where you should use your abs, don't get mad at yourself, don't give up. 4. Get flexible because it really helps. Put in the time opening your shoulders, hamstrings and lower back before you even start working on the handstand press. 5. Foundation and Drills: find the strength drills that work on what you need to work on and do them every day. Work on good handstand alignment, coming slowly down, and keeping a calm and equanimous mind. 6. Last tip, but most important: once you have all the strength and all the flexibility and you've got all the pieces you need, you're missing one magic thing--faith.
