A pair of #llamas in Arizona captured the attention of the world — or at least much of the Internet — when they made a break for it after a visit to an assisted-living residence in Sun City one afternoon in February. A chase ensued before someone with a rope and the skill to lasso the animals helped bring them home. @nickcotephoto photographed the adventurous #camelids — Kahkneeta, shown here with one of their owners, Bob Bullis, and Laney. “These llamas are probably the biggest celebrities I have photographed,” @nickcotephoto said. In the weeks since the #llamadrama, the attention has apparently gone straight to Kahkneeta’s head. Her owners worry that she is suffering from post-traumatic stress. Or maybe she’s just dreaming of greener pastures.
