Day 26 #BalanceBasics is Natarajasana, Shiva as Lord of Dance. Start off with a firm foundation in your standing leg. Once you have hold of your back foot lean forward as you pivot into the hip joint as deeply as possible. The more you lean forward the easier it is to access the flexibility creates the basis for the posture. Even if you cannot straighten your back leg the lean forward will help you find better balance. Don’t push the backbend to hard here--this isn’t the place to stretch, it’s a place to articulate what flexibility you have already established.
