This is a video of a street food scene, projected onto a brick wall in a basketball court after dark. @TEDFellow Jorge Mañes Rubio brings scenes like this -- from countries like Morocco, Thailand, or Indonesia -- and projects them onto dark, empty public spaces in more developed countries with less lively nightlife. He hopes to show how people in different cultures experience the night and to make dark spaces more inviting. “Abandoned facades, closed storefronts or pitch-black alleys usually look unwelcoming at night,” says Rubio. “This project aims to make them come back to life.” To see more of Jorge’s work, follow @seethisway and check out seethisway.com.
