The area around the power plant, known as the Exclusion Zone, remains a toxic wasteland that most dare not visit. Yet, a community of about 200 people, most of whom are women, have chosen to stay illegally in Chernobyl’s “Dead Zone.” In her #TEDTalk, Holly Morris introduces the women known as the babushkas of Chernobyl.
