This photograph was taken by Maam, one of twelve Through Positive Eyes-Bangkok participants, part of a series of close-up textures she made at the market where she works. Her family’s stall seems to sell every variety of tropical fruit. Although Maam is open about her HIV status with her family and close community, she still often feels like she is carrying a deep secret inside. She looks to everyday things to stay connected to her spirit. “When I see the shape and color of these, it makes me smile. All those childlike shapes are a simple reminder of happiness and joy.” This is part of the daily feed from the project curated by @gideonmendel.
