Sadly the time has come to bring this feed from Through Positive Eyes-Bangkok to a close. It has been an amazing experience for me and I feel honored to have had this opportunity to share the work of this inspiring group. I am concluding with a video clip of Bee in action, photographing herself while rehearsing the cabaret act that she will be performing at the final presentation of the group’s work on Thursday. I believe it is important to recognize the team that has helped make this unique photographic venture happen. I would like to thank David Gere, the co-director of the project, as well as the staff of the UCLA Art & Global Health Center. A special thanks to my good friend and collaborator Crispin Hughes for his amazing teaching and all the help in editing the thousands of pictures, along with Elisabeth Nails for her assistance with text to convey the important stories that give context to the images. I would like to thank the local organizers Nym and Scott (Space Bangkok), Waewdao and Michael, along with Vinai and Apichart, the accomplished local photographers who have made important contributions to the teaching. The project received strong informational support from the Bangkok office of UNAIDS. Thanks to the Herb Ritts Foundation, Ford Foundation, Gere Foundation, and UCLA for their support. Most of all, I am grateful to the twelve photographers for sharing the intimate details of their lives with all of you. I would like to offer my most humble thanks to all for their courageous determination and willingness to share their stories to fight HIV stigma.
