The New Yorkerのインスタグラム(newyorkermag) - 12月17日 04時16分

This image is by Joe Chon, he is one of twelve participants in Though Positive Eyes-Bangkok. The left side of his body is partially paralyzed due to an HIV-related fungal infection in his brain. He made this image trying to illustrate the numb sensation that makes him feel that his body is divided. Because of his disabilities he made this image in collaboration with a friend who clicked the shutter after Jo had framed the image. “Even though only half of my body is good and the other half is not, it doesn’t mean I cannot function. Most of my body carries on without any problems. This is what I want to say: I still can work and I still can be useful.” This is part of the daily feed from the project curated by @gideonmendel.
