Delight in the vast landscape of the golden reeds stretching for 12 km while enjoying the alluring harmony of the wind running through them, accompanied by the sound of bird calls. Farmers have harvested the reeds in winter since ancient times, utilizing their strength to make thatched roofs. They gather from 60,000 to 70,000 bundles from December to March in a typical year. 🐦🎵 The Ishinomaki-Kawa Visitor Center, located along the Kitakami River, offers experiences in nature, exhibits about the creatures inhabiting the river, and events that make use of the surrounding natural landscape.
