The biological clock is real but it doesn’t mean you have to force yourself to settle with the wrong person, or reproduce because you’re worried about time! I’m sure you already know about what the point of egg freezing is, but since I’m now a pro; it’s to preserve your younger, healthy eggs to try to use later in case your remaining eggs start to lose quality as you age. The process is NOT guaranteed to always work, but it’s a pretty good back up plan. I have been waiting until I finished up with the process myself to post about it since I know it’s a sensitive subject to talk about for some, but for me, I’m pretty excited to spread the news! The news being how affordable and easy it was to do this process in Barcelona! I used a clinic called @fertilab_barcelona that has been absolutely amazing! They’ve done everything for me, from calling in my prescriptions and arranging all of my appointments, to answering my MANY questions and actually educating me about how the body works rather than treating it like an in and out procedure. Price of course is a leading factor for my decision, with the procedure, medication, and 4 years of storage costing only $3500! The lowest price I’ve heard it costs in USA is $12,000, and I can’t imagine how many women are devastated they can’t do this there due to that hefty price tag! Even the flight and apartment rent for a month keeps the total cost at less than half as the US 🤯 You might be wondering if you have to come back to Barcelona to unfreeze and use them. Yes, but IVF here is also less than half the price as USA. There’s no requirements to do this as a foreigner, or insurance needed. You don’t have to give birth here either.
