(Volume up for full effect) When we pulled up to it and the captain said it would be a 45 minute wait (in the extreme heat surrounded by the lovely scent of boat gas) I was down to pass since I am fortunate to have been to places with many similar grottos, not to mention the gorgeous cenotes where I live in Mexico… but my friend really wanted to see it and I won’t deny, I wanted to see how the rowboats get through the tiny hole 😂 My conclusion is that if you want a slightly stressful , adventurous, yet breathtaking (3 minute) experience…do it. No matter what you’ll have a story to tell afterwards! PS these types of posts aren’t to deter you from going, just to prepare you!
