Now, 1,500 or so items from Garden Lodge are coming to Sotheby’s London this summer in a month-long public exhibition and dedicated auction series. “I like to be surrounded by splendid things. I want to lead the Victorian life, surrounded by exquisite clutter.” Freddie Mercury Touring public exhibitions in New York, Los Angeles, and Hong Kong in June will be followed by a full takeover of #SothebysLondon galleries—each one devoted to a different aspect of Mercury’s life, both public and private.
