The first three weeks here in Ceuse has been a blast 💥 It’s such a treat to be back at this legendary crag climbing on world-class stone and 5-star rigs 🙌🏻 The last time I was here was back in 2009, so I have plenty of new routes to sample along with the mega-classics I’ve been dreaming of getting on for so long. One of the first routes I decided to start investigating was Jungle Boogie, a compact power-resistance climb on the left side of the Biographie sector, and it happens to feel like something I can do 😅 After crafting some beta for myself, I quickly managed to do the route with one hang, falling on the move I personally find the hardest, then doing the move after a brief rest to the top. This clip is from about 10 days ago, and since then I’ve managed to stick the move twice from the start, with a couple different methods, and after zero rest, linking the sequence into the resistance ramp-boulder to the anchor. Conditions have been amazing in my opinion, maybe since the highest temperature is half of what I experienced in Spain last summer, but a cool breeze often keeps it cold and fresh enabling attempts on a route like this, which consists of mainly small crimps and pockets. I’m starting to feel the flow this wall requires, and adapting to the typical run-out style which is always spooky at first, and preparing myself for my main goal; starting the process of attempting @アレックス・メゴス ‘s Bibliography [9C], undoubtedly the hardest route I will have ever tried up to now. I know I don’t exactly have the requisite resume for trying a route of this diffuclty, but I genuinely see it as a route I may be able to climb someday, and enjoy dreaming of having it as a long term project, like I experienced with Biographie, the neighboring 9A+ benchmark first ascended by @クリス・シャーマ 💫 So syked to get back up to the crag and rage the projects, enjoy the amazing ambiance and awesome crew 🕺 Lets see how long we end up staying here 🤔 The Swiss Alpine is calling my name, but it may need to hold off until September as Ceuse might be the hardest crag in the world to leave behind for another season 🔥🤯
