There seems to be horrific privacy issues with it and a billion questions to be answered, but you can’t deny there’s a sort of a retro radio feeling to it, which is perhaps what makes it fascinating. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I do recognize the potential of this platform, but I’m only very consciously optimistic (given the amount of BS I’ve so far heard on it). But I must say I’ve also joined very interesting rooms, where I was happy to listen in silence, to people that I didn’t know or follow on other platforms. (Almost all of them in Italian). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Most importantly, I think it can be a place where like minded people can discuss what really matters to them. And personally, after more than a year of isolation and deprivations from gatherings where you met random creatives, any chance for a good chat is welcome by me (although I’m sick of it all being virtual).  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So I’ve taken my chance and I made this room “Culinary Literature Salon”, a place for reading good writing about food, from cookbooks, articles, menus and etc, and you’re all welcome, It’s tonight (Sunday) at 21.30 CET, and it’s supposed it be laid back and chill, for those who’d like to wrap up their week with a little bit of delicious reading, perhaps with a glass of wine.  ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Please come over, if you’re on the platform (the link is in my bio). You’re welcome to moderate and/or contribute. @valentinahortus will be there too.
