Saghar Setarehさんのインスタグラム写真 - (Saghar SetarehInstagram)「So grateful for the “passeggiata”, aka the walk in a gloriously sun-kissed Rome yesterday. January had been all wet and chilly and the chance to catch up with friends in a hiccuping lockdown had been less than slim. So we took our chances on the only properly sunny day in the name of a client shoot and made a day of it. Lucky we did, because along with the clouds, came also the strict lockdown. We’re in the orange zone in Lazio, and I don’t know anymore how many lockdowns we’ve been through so far, and although I’m very grateful that my (new) routine is not touched by it all, I don’t know how much more we can endure of this. So far in Lazio we had been lucky, always in the less strict yellow zone until today. So here are a couple of sunny snaps from a sunny winter day in the eternal city for a bit of escapism from your couch. On the #LabNoonCookbook front, gosh I do wish libraries were open (and safe). Libraries (not even co-working spaces) had been my salvation for all long projects, since the times of university administration exam in Iran, all the thesis projects in university and the academy, and writing the proposal for this book. So I seek focus in pomodoro apps and weekly emails that help me “flex my writing muscle”, as they put it. I have already started to drift away from super organized initial plans and have done crazy things like coring and baking apples at half past midnight, or waking up at 5 am to take notes on my phone about something I remembered in my sleep to write about. But it’s also wonderful (if it didn’t sound so before), so far I have received not one, but TWO ancient cookbooks that I couldn’t get my hands on, through friends who have scanned/photographed ALL THE PAGES for me from distant parts of the world. I cannot wait to be able to share more with you about the book, but for now I’ve got recipes to test and many things to write. P.S. I have also bought a red pen, something I didn’t have in high school, because there’s something about editing notes with red pens that can’t be done with anything else. #FlavorsAndEncounters」1月18日 7時08分 - labnoon
