I come alive when my body gets fired up, when my heart is racing and my blood is pumping and this animal instinct just comes out of me and allows me to push harder and go further than I ever thought humanly possible before discovering my love of fitness. Society seems to think that women are helpless and need to be taken care of, protected and provided for, erm... not me! I love expressing my femininity, feeling glam and girly but also breaking my nails when lifting weights, working up a sweat until my face is bright red and climbing trees in my favourite pair of hotpants. I don’t play the Princess, damsel in distress or diva; I thrive on being a feminist heroine, holding my own, celebrating body confidence after having my two babies and living life effervescently without limits.
