トレーシー・キスさんのインスタグラム写真 - (トレーシー・キスInstagram)「I’d like to share with you all my personal journey of self acceptance - growing up I was the biggest geek ever, a total bookworm, teachers pet, goody two shoes, doormat, easy target - literally any insult you can think of, that’s what people called me and more. I was bullied terribly for being ugly, nervous, shy and easy pickings for bullies to spit in my face, stick chewing gum in my hair, fill my school bag with rubbish and throw stones at me - they NEVER gave me a break! I was basically afraid of my own shadow and the world knew it and sensed my fear a mile off. Because of that I had zero self esteem, zero self worth, I walked with my head down, my shoulders rounded and never felt like I fit in or truly belonged anywhere. Being “ugly” meant that I gained a fantastic education and developed a great sense of humour instead, because let’s face it, I didn’t have looks or popularity to distract me from work or make me believe that I was anything special or above my station. My popularity rating was probably -100 and I was an absolute victim to life which led to me being abused, used and treated awfully for many many years to come. Fast forward to today and I now have 4million followers across my social media, speak on a worldwide platform about self worth and individuality and the people who bullied me growing up now ask to date me and be friends with me (no chance in hell!) I have opportunity, love and happiness everywhere that I go which is testimony to the power of karma. I’m still the same girl I’ve always been, same heart, same soul, same mind; I’ve just accepted the skin that I’m in and learned to love what others criticised me so heavily for. The superficial looks of youth will NEVER last, we must all age, sag, droop and have bits drop off so shake the inflated attitude, ditch the bragging, lighten up and recognise that longterm happiness comes deep from within, in being a good person, having a good heart and treating others the way you wish to be treated.
