The birth of every new year brings about change and growth for us all and is one of my favourite times of the year because it’s a reminder for us all do do more, be more and follow our dreams. There are two things I would like you to consider on the dawn of this new year please. The first is veganuary - attempting veganism for 30 days; whether you simply eat more vegetables, have one vegan meal a day or each week, switch to meat-free and dairy-free alternatives or maybe you feel that you can cut out meat and dairy entirely, please make sure that you supplement your transition! Whatever you do, no matter how big or small, it makes a big difference to your health as well as the planet for us all and future generations to come and I would like to say thank you for trying. Secondly I would like you to fall in love with yourself! Start treating yourself as the love of your life, be kinder to yourself, pay yourself compliments, buy yourself flowers, gifts, treats and things that you really enjoy when you see them because you wholeheartedly deserve it. Take yourself swimming, go for a bike ride, read a book, explore the world - when it’s safe to do so - and recognise that the more wonderful you are to yourself the more wonderful you will feel and the higher your expectations will be. Let’s stop basing our worth on the disrespectful and unkind treatment we receive from strangers online and people who do not deserve us and start learning to live with nothing but love, positivity and good energy.
