Traditions here are to throw water on the street to wash out the past, walk around the block with a suitcase, and burn a little straw man, and I'll be doing all of them to make sure the bad 2020 vibes get their riddance (though to be honest, being a digital entrepreneur prepped me well to handle all the hurdles of the year so I'm not allowed to complain personally, but I empathize for everyone who suffered, especially hide here in Cuba). . We finally started our tour with Havana Reverie, who helped assist us with our visa under the category of Support for the Cuban People, and we definitely have been doing just that!! . Aside from learning about the history, and also about present issues (which i will get into later), we also learned about the budding entrepreneurs in Havana, which is relatively new, and a really big deal!! . Some of the entrepreneurs I met today are eco-friendly clothing designers of the brand @dadorhavana, which is where my two piece outfit is from! They make all of their pieces in the upstairs area of their shop, which is in a restored building in Havana Vieja! . I'll be wearing their designs while I'm in Havana, lmk if anyone wants me to bring anything back to the US to ship! . And please, if you come to visit, support local brands!
