I have been trained to specifically do this with a dress and also had a Certified Rescue Diver plus 3 other Dive Masters monitoring and helping with the shoot at all times! You can hire professionals for it but again DO NOT attempt it without them! Anyway! Here's what it took to do this! - 30 min drive at 8am to Cenote Eden - Got in with swimsuit first, then put the dress on in the water. Jumping in with it on can cause it to go up over your head, and you can drown! - Scoped the underwater area with mask on first to decide where and how to go under - First dive I went down, forward, than slowly floated back up, keeping the dress away from my head and avoiding kicking so it didn't tangle in my feet - Second dive (more like a dunk) found a shallow rock to just "sit down on" keeping skirt down, eyes open, and (attempting) a relaxed face 🎥Video shot by @clairesitchyfeet with a GoPro and Dome while @alexinwanderland shot stills with a Canon G7X also with Dome and waterproof housing 📱Edited by me: Photos with Lightroom then Snapseed for the HDR filter, then for the Reel I used the Quik app....yes, I edit most of my content on my phone! 🕥 This whole production took half day (getting there, shooting, getting back), then about 4 hours of editing and writing these looonngg captions so I really hope you LIKE it!!!
