And I don't know about you guys, but this time of year definitely feels like the perinium. Not quite Christmas, not quite New Year. 🤣 I think this year feels particularly weird, what with the restrictions and what with being heavily pregnant and waiting for the baby to arrive... I've always struggled with switching off and not being productive (it's something I used to pride myself on as I saw productivity being a sign of success, but now I realise was high functioning anxiety), but I've really tried to switch off this Christmas. We've watched films and series (I fully recommend Soul, Industry, and the Nest) and went on long dog walks... But it definitely felt a little like Groundhog Day. So anyway, today we decided to dress up and switched up our route to walk through a very empty London. There's something very magical about London being so quiet, like we have the city to ourselves. We've avoided the news and are just staying in our positive little bubble. Now I'm back on the sofa watching the Nest with Snoop spooning my bump as the baby kicks.
