Most couples would have never suggested then going to Central Park, but these two did - and I was up for it! We had the entirety of Bethesda Terrace to ourselves, something that never happens in the city! I wanted to showcase the couple and the rain, but it was getting super dark. I put a speed light out on the steps aimed it at them at about 1/16 power - enough to illuminate them and the raindrops, but not so much that it overpowered the scene or looked too artificial. I also made sure my shutter speed was nice and fast - 1/200 - so that it would capture the rain drops and not render them blurry.
