"My wife and I have started hiking a lot nowadays, and we take our gear with us almost every time. Last month, at the Great Smoky Mountains, we hiked on quite a few trails across four days and planned to hike to the top of Mt. LeConte the last day. Halfway through the hike, I realized my quads were strained, but we still somehow managed to get to the top. The view was stunning as I could see layers of mountains I otherwise wouldn't have been able to see from the ground.
