These images were from an editorial I did in 2019 on one of the hottest days of the year! It was a battle to get through the day and although we initially had planned to shoot through midday sun (always a challenge!) it just wasn’t possible to do it with the heat and open rooftop. We shot the majority of this editorial in 3 hours at the end of the day. I’m glad we waited - because the shots we got during this part of the day are some of my favorite shots from the editorial! TIP: Shooting fashion photography on location is always a challenge because there are so many puzzle pieces that have to come together! PLANNING IS KEY! If you can do a location scout ahead of time to understand where light rises & falls - it’s a huge help. Consider renting a ‘base’ like a small studio near your location where your team can prepare and the model can get changed.
