Most people associate kneeling with despair and failure, but something very beautiful happens when your world is falling apart and you drop to your knees; a humility, a nobility and higher intelligence emerge at the point when we touch the floor - “I am human, I can do better”. We suddenly recognise we are not above others, we see ourselves for who we are and recognise the consequences for the actions that we have taken. Kneeling is a freedom of forgiveness and opportunity. In fitness it is mobility and flexibility, allowing us to push further and achieve more. And in intimacy it is submission, selflessness and the desire to please another above that of your own needs. When you recognise the beauty of something it suddenly starts to mean a whole lot more, especially the act of kneeling.
