But to commemorate checking off yet another one of my major bucketlist goals - living in Barcelona - I added a mark to my Bucketlist Tattoo! . The symbol of course is the Sagrada Familia. I'm not religious, but this was the first and still the only icon that immediately comes to mind when I think of my beloved Barcelona. . In fact, after my first trip to Barcelona over 11 years ago, I hung a giant painting of the Sagrada in my room for years, not knowing I'd ever get to go back to Barcelona... nonetheless LIVE there! . So the heart in my tattoo is because I'm leaving a piece of my heart here. But I WILL be back to get it! . Then there's a hidden "95" which represents the number of days that I was in one of the strictest lockdowns in the world here. It may be silly to some who didn't have the same experience, but never in my life was I forced to have such strong willpower and self-motivation, when the world seemed like it was ending, and the gov said you're not even allowed outside. . I've grown a lot due to these experiences (hellooooo new swim line and book ...and also total self control over my anxiety!), and I don't regret any of it, especially my decision to stay in Spain when I could have been free to do whatever I want back home. . So thank you Barcelona for taking me in when the world went into chaos. Thank you to every single person who was nice to me, helped me, and applauded me for staying despite the hard times. . I'm incredibly sad to have to leave (I'm up to 14 times crying today now), but will never ever forget and be forever grateful for this rare time when the world paused, and I got to live in a normally crowded city, and have it all to myself. It was without a doubt, like a movie. . Thanks also to everyone who has supported my journey here since pre-Q, and when I thought I was coming to film a video series about becoming an expat! This is definitely going to be a book instead!! . Next stop for now: Mexico!!! .
