In fact, I rarely will even say that's what I am when people ask me what I do for a living! (And if I do say it, it's with air quotes) . That's because when I first started chasing my dream of traveling for a living, the term "influencer" didn't even exist! And I only was dubbed with the title because I happened to be doing social media...however it was purely to promote my blog! . I actually initially wanted to be a travel writer as my career! And I was! I wrote for Huff Post, Matador Network, Geo Chic Magazine, and a plethora of other random gigs, and did my blog on the side, hoping one day it would become big enough to make money from it instead of getting paid next to nothing for my writing jobs. . After going viral on Huff Post for the article that my first book is now about, that slowly became a reality. And so I considered myself a travel blogger, if anything. . As I mentioned, I used social media to promote my blog, not realizing my photos would garner attention in a different way than my writing. A couple years later, and the term "influencer" was born, and I was automatically associated as one. . Sometimes when I hear "You're my favorite influencer" or something like that, I'm flattered and grateful, but also hope people know all the other things I am, that I am very proud of! . My many hats include: . 💡 Entrepreneur: I solely created my entire brand and all the branches of it, which include: ✍️Travel Blogger/Writer/CEO (I have 3 people who work for my blog) 📷 Photographer/Model...of myself 💎Online Shop Owner 👯Group Trip Organizer and Host 🎤Public Speaker 👩‍🏫Course Teacher 🌏Travel Expert 🐘Animal/Human/Earth Activist 👙Swimsuit Designer 📘Soon to be Author Not to mention full time friend, gf, and life-liver! .
