I've been so worried about getting denied entry into places, that I've been driving hours on end instead of flying, hence this trip to Girona and Costa Brava! . I also low key used my bf as a guinea pig to see what would happen when he went back to the US, to see if I need to avoid a layover there to get to Mexico 😂 . He said leaving Spain they questioned why he had over stayed his visa, but after attempting to explain the extension, they just let him go. Then he said upon arrival in the US the CDC just "advised a 2 week home quarantine", but didn't take down his info or anything. . I'm still beyond grateful to have made that fateful decision to move to Spain 5 days before lockdown since it gave me the privilege of being allowed to travel around Europe now (#qtinerewards), but it is very sad to see what the lack of tourists is doing here, and everywhere in the world. . Businesses are closing either permanently or temporarily, so not much is open. The travel industry is crumbling (including many bloggers and influencers). People are losing money and sanity from canceled travel plans. . WHEN WILL THIS END?!?!? .
