Cadaqués was somewhere I had been wanting to go to since arriving in Spain, but unfortunately these are my only two pics because I slipped on the jagged rocks in the water and completely face planted into the water and onto the rocks. . Somehow my freakish ninja skills foresaw what was happening and as soon as I hit the water, I stopped the fall with my trusty selfie stick, but quickly realize I didn't have the waterproof flap on my GoPro, and in an effort to save the camera (and my face and body) I somehow flung myself back up to my feet. . At first I thought I had just a few scratches on my knee and fingers, then walked out of the water, and found myself in a scene from Jaws. . Turns out that ninja move back up to my feet required my toes to slice open (I had rubber sandals on) and the tip of one was hanging off...🤢 . Some sweet little girls nearby offered us tissues, and we wrapped the toes with it and my hair ties, then somehow I walked up the steps, got to the car and got to the hospital. . The hospital experience was GREAT!!! It was completely empty, no wait, and all the doctors distracted me while they fixed my toes with talks about my opinion on US politics. . The best part, was when I went to pay, they laughed and said I don't need to pay. In the US that would have costed a couple hundred dollars! . That being said, I would like to point out once again how bad healthcare and insurance costs are in the US, and emphasize the importance of voting for someone who has a goal of making it more affordable or free in the future. .
