My view from my terrace was what looked like a castle on top of a mountain in the far distance. 82 Days in quarantine but with phase 2 enacted, and I was finally able to actually go up the mountain to see the "castle". Tibidabo is a popular tourist attraction normally, with a tiny theme park, and a cathedral overlooking all of Barcelona. When I went we were the only ones there aside from a bunch of cats and some extreme mountain bikers. I will never forget those months "locked in my tower"; battling anxiety, potential job loss, first time living with a bf, and legit scared to go outside because I might get in trouble or sent back to the US. The control was maddening and had me constantly questioning what was actually going on, and it still does. But! It has given me a severe appreciation and enhanced love for "slow traveling". I have fallen even deeper in love with Barcelona than I dreamed I would. I am so incredibly sad to have to leave temporarily, but I will be back! And so the count down starts for my last week in my beloved Barcelona for now.
