Radiator cover transformation 🏡
Not my typical post, but I had a few requests to make a video of my radiator cover transformation for my nursery / spare room.
I bought a plain MDF radiator cover from @wayfairuk and a custom amount of cane webbing then followed the following steps:🎨 Paint the radiator cover the same as your walls, or a different colour if you want to make more of a feature of it. (I didn't use a special wood paint, I just used the leftover wall paint and did a few coats)
🛠️ Removed the inner borders of the radiator cover. (You could definitely save time by not putting these in when you build the cover)
💦 Soak the cane webbing in a bath of warm water for about an hour.
✨ Apply the wet cane webbing to the radiator cover using a staplegun. An extra pair of hands would be useful to pull the webbing as tight as possible.
🙏 As the cane webbing dries it will tighten ensuring the webbing isn't baggy.
Et voila! Your finished radiator cover.
