The emphasis of today’s back workout was heavy single arm movements. ⁣

Incorporating single arm work allows me to be able to focus on a single side at once, ultimately creating more symmetry on both sides. ⁣

Often times when we perform a bilateral movement (both sides moving at once), we tend to concentrate on one side more than the other, thus potentially creating asymmetries in the long term. This is why I like to incorporate days based around unilateral movements (each side moving independently).⁣

1️⃣ Single Arm DB Row: focus on bringing your elbow behind your body and to the back wall. This will engage your lat from top to bottom, and develop both thickness and width to your entire back.⁣

2️⃣Single Arm Hammer Strength Iso Row: focus on keeping your chest high and brining your elbow behind your body as far as you can, while retracting your shoulder blade. This will help develop thickness in your lats, traps and rhomboids. ⁣
