Tonight’s wine is Papillon 2015, Orin Swift Cellars.
What a spectacle of sensations this wine has given me. Is a Bordeaux-style red blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Malbec and Merlot, sourced from hand-picked vineyards across the various Napa Valley AVA’s. The label is a photograph taken by Phinney’s friend and fellow winemaker, Greg Gorman, depicting the well-worn hands of a Californian grape grower. This image is meant to convey how each finger of a hand contributes to the hand's function, just as each grape variety comes together to create the final blend.

Vaya espectáculo de sensaciones que me ha regalado este vino. Es un "Bordeaux-style red blend" de Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Malbec y Merlot, procedente de viñedos en los diversos AVA’s de Napa Valley. La etiqueta es una fotografía tomada por el amigo y enólogo de Phinney, Greg Gorman, que muestra las manos de un viticultor californiano. Esta imagen quiere transmitir que cada dedo de la mano es tan importante como cada variedad de uva que se une para crear este vino.
